overkill: the remix competition rules

for the remixologists amongst you......
fancy doing a remix of kosheen's new single to show off your skills?
then do it!
we're looking for the most original & exciting treatment of the new single "overkill"
no samples of other people's work are to be included in the remix
moksha recordings and kosheen will be the judges

mp3 files only - no larger than 5mb


the prize
apart from glorious recognition from your peers, you'll a have a unique remix to play to yourself, your friends and anyone else. you'll also be letting kosheen hear your work. moksha recordings will acknowledge your numero uno remix skills on the kosheen website, and quite possibly, release it as a promo, or official release with your name being credited on any such release! you'll also receive a signed certificate certifying your remixpertise


small print
if you are under the age of eighteen (18) you must obtain permission from your parent or guardian before you enter this competition

by making an entry to this competition, you accept that moksha recordings, and it's licensees ('us' / 'we') will own your submitted track ('performance') for ever, and you agree to the following terms:

entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them upon downloading the accapella

in the event that your remix ('performance') is exploited by moksha recordings ('the company'), you hereby irrevocably and unconditionally give the company all consents required pursuant to part II of the copyright designs and patents act 1988 in respect of all performances rendered by you in connection with the above-mentioned performance and under all other relevant legislation existing now or in the future for the sole and exclusive worldwide exploitation by the company, it's successors assigns and licensees of your performance in any and all media by any and all means now known or developed in the future without any payment to you you agree we can use your performance title and your name, photo and biog (if applicable) to promote the performance.

by submitting an entry you confirm that you have not written this song. you confirm that you waive any so-called moral rights (now or hereafter existing) in respect of your performance and you have the full right, power and authority to grant the company the consents and rights herein granted by you. if we use your performance we may require you to sign some follow up paperwork these terms are non-negotiable
we cannot send back entries or enter into correspondence about the competiton the judges' decision is final

If you don't understand any of this small print, then consult a music lawyer or please don't enter the competition

by downloading the accapella, you accept that you have no rights to use any kosheen parts (music or vocal files) commercially without written permission in other words: please don't try to release or sell any mix you do with the vocals or any other kosheen parts yourself, because its not allowed... and not nice

moksha recordings reserves the right to cancel or change this competition at any stage if moksha deems it necessary

the competition and the rules of the competition are governed by the laws of england & wales. this competition is void where prohibited by local law
